Our Products and Services

At General Biophysics, we explore therapeutic potential of xenon gas. We are developing multiple advanced tools for rare gas management, including gas monitors, recirculation and recovery systems, environmental chambers, etc. We made this equipment available to order for scientific and industrial community.​

In clinical research as well as in the variety of industrial applications the mixtures of gases are used.
They are either combined in the pre-mixing chamber based on partial pressures of the individual gases, or via the calibrated flowmeters. However, these methods might be lacking precision. It is particularly difficult to control gas concentration when the system is not hermetically sealed or when one of the gases consumed by biological or chemical process, e.g. mice consume oxygen and generate CO2. Concentration of chemically active gases such as oxygen or CO2 can be easily controlled via electrochemical sensors, but what to do if the gas is inert – noble, and the chemical sensors can not be used? Such gases are xenon, krypton, argon, helium, etc. and often there is a need to control their inline concentration in the mixture with oxygen or other gases. The thermal conductivity principle can be used if this is a parameter by which gases in the mixture can be differentiated.

At General Biophysics we developed a gas concentration monitor, which utilizes thermal conductivity sensor and temperature stabilization system to measure noble gas concentration in the gas mixture with high accuracy.

The sensor can take samples of gas or can be used for inline gas concentration monitoring. We calibrate it for measuring different gases in the full range of concentrations from 0 to 100%. Do you think there is an application for this technology in your area?

Gas Concentration Monitors and Sensors

We manufacture and calibrate gas monitors to measure  concentration of noble gases, such as xenon, in the gas mixtures based on the thermal conductivity action principle. Our meters deliver high accuracy concentration readings for such non-reactive gases as xenon, krypton, helium, argon in the range of  0 – 100%. We pre-calibrate the device for your gas mixture and conditions, so you just plug the device and get the required readings.

Environmental Chambers

We design and build custom environmental chambers and reactors for laboratory animals and cell cultures. The system may include gas mixing, close loop breathing circuits, gas concentration measurement, hyperbaric conditions, temperature stabilization, and agitation.

Hyperbaric Chambers

We design and build custom hyperbaric chambers that can withstand pressure of several bars and contain variety of volumes of biological material, e.g. tubes, well plates, culture bags, etc. The chambers can be equipped with variety of sensors and filled with gas mixtures manually or using the special automatic filler.
